A glimpse into my messy studio.....

Here are glimpses into my creative controlled chaotic studio. I am very lucky to have one of my own. Let me know if yours' looks like this so I don't feel like the only messy one. My house is pretty clean neat but not my studio. I love going into it and usually light a tart or incense, turn on a book on tape (Harry Potter or The Secret)and start to work....or play...my work is play and I have made it that way.

Tassel and Bead Class May 18, 2008

I will be teaching fabric bead and simple tassels class this Sunday at Peicemakers in Costa Mesa,CA . There is still room. This is a great class because you will leave with lots of beads and tassels to add to your art (journals, dolls, jewelry etc.). I will be showing how to make really quick and simple funky tassels (similar to the ones on my kits listed below) and several surface techniques to make custom beads. Heres the details: 10-2:30p, $45 includes some supplies. Call Piecemakers asap to reserve your spot. 714-641-3112. Contact me if you have questions directly through my email akasha@shadesofakasha.com. Hope to meet you!

Kits

I taught a soldering class this past Sat. (5/3) in Costa Mesa at Piecemakers. When ever there is a kit in the class I always put time and thought into the presentation of the kit and its content. It's a fun process and I love seeing the looks on my students faces when they get them. I plan on making more for Art Unraveled for my Ethnic Eclectic tassel class and my jewelry class. I will also have some for purchase at the vendor event. If you don't know what Art Unraveled is go to artunraveled.com and check out the list of amazing teachers.
